A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines on Friday, causing an initial tsunami warning up the coast to Japan and all the way to Hawaii, although it was lifted by 10 am EST. The quake was centered 91 miles off the town of Guiuan in the Samar province of the country’s east coast. The U.S. Geological Survey and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake was at a depth of about 20 miles
